QUILL (Queens in Love with Literature) features the diverse writers of Queens through a series of free reading events held throughout the borough. This year QUILL focuses on writers working in other languages and the art of translation, offering audiences in Queens the opportunity to not only hear from authors working in their own neighborhood, but also perhaps in their own language.
BODY OF WORK: A Creative Translation Event
Featuring 2011/12 QUILL Artist Advisors and local choreographers in a multidisciplinary performance event focused on the nature of translation, interpretation and the dynamic relationship between words and flesh.
