Joyce King, Artistic Director for JKing Dance Company, brings you Have You Danced to a Merry Tune In the Moon. Inspired through past shorter works and a painting of a young woman holding a bright bouquet of flowers, sitting amongst a meadow of lifeless trees. She is solely focused on her thoughts and seemingly unaware of her stark surroundings. King, intrigued and captivated by this image, wondered what would bring her to sit there, contemplating the psychological aspect directed at one self's mentality of loss and happiness, desires and choices. This piece examines a young woman's task of weeding through past memories in the house where she grew up.
