ABOUT THE CHOREOGRAPHERS

Jackie Dodds is a freelance performance artist and the creator of Specifically Oranges, a solo dance-theater work about awkward first encounters, accidental oversharing, and the strange art of being a person in front of other people. First sparked in 2023 and shaped through solo travels and quiet reflection, the piece mixes movement, text, juggling oranges, and a hint of chaos. Balancing humor with vulnerability, Jackie explores what makes us open up, shut down, or say too much—hoping somewhere along the way, it all feels a little bit familiar.

Macee Eppard: After earning her BFA in Dance with a minor in Acting from Hussian College, Los Angeles, Macee’s choreography found a creative home in community theater — sharing Burlesque performances, ballroom duets, and musical theater collaborations. Now based in New York, they’re proud to have assisted choreography for Indeterminacy Festival works including Into the Charmed Churned Circle and 14 Porches: Rebirth and much more. Macee looks forward to continuing to grow her choreographic voice and contribute original work to new creative communities

Naliah Hernandez is a performing artist from San Antonio, Texas, working across movement, theater, music, and film. She is a lesbian artist of color exploring themes of womanhood, pleasure, voyeurism, and the grotesque. She centers improvisation in her work, allowing herself to adapt and evolve in performance. She is interested in blurring the boundary between process and performance, asking audiences to examine their beliefs around spectatorship and intimacy. She dedicates this performance to her beautiful Abuela, Esmeralda Hernandez.

Lola Rose Jenkins (they/them) is a Canadian dance artist currently based in Brooklyn, NY. They began their training at Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre in Toronto, Canada, where they performed works by Roderick George, Jennifer Archibald, José Limón, Colin Connor, Sylvie Bouchard, and Alyssa Martin, among many others. Lola continued their training at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase College, performing works by Hannah Garner (2nd Best Dance Company), Yue Yin(YYDC), Victor Quijada(Rubberband), Doug Varone, and Norbert de La Cruz III. Lola graduated summa cum laude in May 2025.

Susanna Procario-Foley (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer, and dance educator based in NYC & Westchester. With a BA in Dance from Connecticut College, her training is rooted in ballet, modern, postmodern, and improvisation. Susanna has previously worked with PreK-12 dance students at the Stamford JCC and presently remains on staff at the Coleman School of Dance as a teacher and administrative coordinator. Susanna has danced in works by choreographers Lisa Race, Heidi Henderson, Tania Isaac, Bebe Miller, Shawn Hove, Ellie Goudie-Averill, and Shani Collins.

CLAIRE GAYLOR is a production technician and performer based in Astoria, Queens. She holds a BFA in Dance from Adelphi University with a minor in Theater Technology and Design. Favorite production credits include lighting programming for Monica Bill Barnes and Company, NYCDA, Ailey Junior, and BDC Children and Teens. She is thrilled to be joining the Green Space team as lighting designer this season

Fertile Ground is a monthly, non-curated new works showcase for emerging and/or established artists. It has been a staple Green Space program since 2006. Evenings feature up to six choreographers, followed by a moderated discussion over wine that integrates the choreographers, dancers, and audience members. This series is an excellent opportunity for participants to share new and developing work, then receive informative feedback about it in a supportive environment. If you would like to apply for a future Fertile Ground, applications are accepted on a rolling, first come, first served basis. Apply at www.GreenSpaceStudio.org.
