CIRCOPIA is a playful, comedic, dramatic, and often exaggerated view of the circus of the past. It is a combination of nostalgic antiquities and contemporary oddities, where differences and diversity are not only welcomed but celebrated.  From playful to surreal, characters will delight the audience with a visual experience but also take them on a humorous and emotional journey. CIRCOPIA is a futuristic voyage to the nostalgia of yesteryear! *Photo by Sascha Vaughan

The collaborations between Farideh Sakhaeifar and Isabel Umali allow the artwork to push past their respective mediums to create experiences unknown and unpredictable for the audience, transporting one to the present and drawing one into each moment as a beautiful horror unfolds. Sakhaeifar has a broad, rich, deep vision for her artwork, making work related to war, displacement, the refugee crisis, and power. Umali has the ability to create shape and movement within Sakhaeifar's ideas and to augment her vision. *Photos by Chuey A and Farideh Sakhaeifar
